Of course you pay close attention to your storage: is it protected, sustainable, well structured, and safe to store your samples for a long time
In SampleNavigator we have duplicated your storage in the software and also paid close attention to:
– It is protected, because we store your samples in a relational and secure database
– It is sustainable, because if you change your storage structure in the future, you can also change the storage structure.
– It is well structured, technically, because we store your samples in a normalized 4th Normal Form database
– It is safe to store your samples for a long time, because we use standard technology (Microsoft SQL server) to store your data.
You can define any hierarchy of storage.
In SampleNavigator you can compress your samples together in a minimum number of freezers.
You can (later) assign to what parts of the organization your sample belongs to.
You can considerably save on storage space, electricity and maintenance. Because SampleNavigator supports a well ordered process in picking and storing samples, you can minimize the number of times that freezers must be opened, further improving the quality of your samples.
